Luna de Octubre (feat. Lupita Infante)
I am so excited to be able to share this beautiful collaboration with Lupita Infante for her official music video of Luna De Octubre.
Lupita, granddaughter of Pedro Infante is mariachi royalty. My already very musical family was star struck to welcome this very talented and beautiful young lady into our family. Lupita seriously upped our game when she added playing mariachi music to our Christmas traditions.
Lupita creates her own version of lush mariachi in this beautifully romantic song that tells the story of passionate love during the moonlit nights of October. Originally recorded by her famous grandfather, Pedro Infante, Lupita gives this song a feminine perspective with a modern twist. Although traditional in many ways with a mariachi rhythm section, trumpets, and violins, Lupita sneaks in layers of ambient electric guitar and effects that contribute to a magical musical landscape.
Lupita’s voice seamlessly allows for the marriage of nostalgic sounds and modern production techniques while creating something that feels both similar and new.
In the video, Lupita wears Ode to Frida, Isabella, and the Luna Two Piece paired with traditional Mexican accessories including boots, bold jewelry, and a flower crown. The dresses were absolutely stunning on her up against the Los Angeles skyline surrounded by a gorgeously dressed band of mariachi musicians. It was such a magical moment to witness and be a part of.
I am absolutely in love with this beautiful song and video. I think my favorite part is the sweet love story between her and my cousin Sonny who plays her love interest and is married to her in real life. Their sweet and innocent romance pairs beautiful with her more styled performance shots.
